Banks and value ranges

Understand live versus edited banks, and constrain analog knobs, encoders, Program Change, and Bank Select values.

Which bank am I changing?

The configurator shows both Active on controller and Editing in configurator. A green LIVE badge marks the bank currently producing MIDI. Selecting another bank edits it without silently changing the live controller; Apply Changes activates the bank you are editing.

Button loop ranges

Program Change increment/decrement and Bank Select MSB/LSB actions can be limited to a minimum and maximum. Stepping past the maximum wraps to the minimum, and stepping below the minimum wraps to the maximum. For example, 2–5 produces 2, 3, 4, 5, 2.

Analog knob ranges

For a regular potentiometer, the physical end-to-end travel is mapped across the selected output range. A 20–100 range means the low stop sends 20 and the high stop sends 100. Reverse direction swaps which physical end produces the low value.

PipSqueak joystick diagonals

Choose Center-Return + Full Diagonals on either PipSqueak joystick axis to enable it for the paired X/Y controls. The circular physical travel is mapped to a square output, allowing both axes to reach their selected minimum or maximum together at a diagonal. Standard Center-Return keeps the original linear axis response.

EC11 encoder ranges

An encoder wraps within its selected range for CC, Program Change, Bank Select MSB, and Bank Select LSB. The start value is constrained to that range. MSB uses CC 0; LSB uses CC 32.

Minimum must be less than or equal to maximum. Equal values intentionally create a fixed output.
