Requirements
- useMidi controller
- USB-C data cable (not charge-only)
- Chrome, Edge, or Opera (Web MIDI)
- DAW or MIDI monitor (Ableton, QLab, MIDI Monitor, etc.)
Quick path
- Plug in via USB-C.
- Wait for the host to enumerate the MIDI endpoint.
- Open your DAW → enable the controller as a MIDI input.
- Press a button or move a pot — confirm activity.
- Open the hardware configurator → Connect Device.
- Remap → Apply Changes → Save to EEPROM when ready.
No drivers. No Wi-Fi required for USB workflows.
What success looks like
- Host lists a MIDI device (name may vary: TinyUSB MIDI, ESP32-S3, product name).
- Config UI status reads Linked.
- Device info grid shows button / pot / feature counts.
